If you prefer raw pizza with a burnt edge then this is your place for pizza. The salads are wonderful but inconsistently portioned. Management is needed in these Lexington locations.
First visit. I almost left because I didn't think I would like it. Glad I stayed! The lunch pizza was delicious!!!! Definitely will go back for a larger pizza, built how I want it. So yummy I can taste it now!
The pizza never disappoints. I always gets the Italian meats with smashed sauce. The chopped salad is one of the best for "fast" food. The music bread is almost always great, it can get a little hard too fast and it becomes edible. I like their loyalty card, the free pizza at the end is awesome.
We like the subtle difference in the wood-fired pizza oven vs. the standard cookers. The pizza is tasty, especially if you order it "smashed", that is with a bit of spice in the sauce. This is a pizza that needs to be eaten right away. It does not travel well if you have any left to take home.
We really like the pizza and salad special - especially on wine down Thursday. We split pizza and salad - get pepperoni with spicy sauce. Love videos of Italy - remind me of vacation in Italy.

The sauce was a little spicy for the weak. The portions were large for the price. Overall, it was fresh and satisfying. Will definitely go back when I am back in town!
I am a pizza fanatic! My first time at smashing tomato i was looking for a pizza that was to die for. For me it was so-so. The sauce is a but spicy which is a great change for pizza. The restaurant is super clean and the staff was friendly. My boyfriend and I split the pepperoni pizza. We took... More
I have always been satisfied with our meals at Smashing Tomato. The usual wait time for your order isn't too bad. Food is very good. Menu is somewhat limited (but remember, this is a pizza place). When you enter the restaurant for the first time (or second, or third) you feel slightly confused by the ordering situation. My only complaint... More
