My Berea College class and I ate at Charlotte's Hoagie Shop when we visited Benham, KY. I was thrilled to find fried green tomatoes and catfish. I was pleased with the service and the food was great. They provied huge portions and the food was very well prepared.

After viewing the previous review I was a little hesitant to try this place. Charlotte's Hoagie Shop was recommended to us at our hotel (Benham School House Inn) and choices in Cumberland are pretty limited. We were very pleased with our dinner and the service. I was told the place was pricey for what it was. I ordered a bowl of chili for $4.99 , it was a only a small cup. Two women sitting across from us sent their Sub sandwich's back and left. Sorry,to give such a bad review but its the truth. I would not go back.
