I v been to several "French restaurants" in the area and this is one of the two that have an authentic French feeling. Food was great, tried the asparagus soup, fish and chicken and was great. The escargot was really great and much better than other Kansas city restaurants. Plus the people that work there can speak French ;-) More

The 4 of us loved the atmosphere, the quiet french music and the ability to easily talk across the table. The beef stew and bread were delicious but the other entrees were disappointing. The onion soup didn't have much flavor. It merits another try. More

I had the "Les Légumes du Jardin" and the first bite was so delicious that my eyes just closed to savor the taste. Enough said? My eyes did open very wide when I got the bill...It is expensive. Very expensive but worth every penny I paid. The restaurant itself is cramped..too many tables stacked too close to one another. There's... More

This tiny French eatery does everything well, from spirits and wine before dinner to tasty appetizers, delicious entrees, and superb desserts, along with attentive service. More

Friends and I went here at their request for a birthday. I was so looking forward to this and was not disapointed with their food in the least. Absolutely wonderful. The only disappointment was that the lady serving us seemed very pleasant and professional until she walked away and made our drinks, where she was smirking and making seemingly negative... More

When I miss not being in Europe, I go have a meal at Cafe Provence. The look, the taste, the smell, the sound (the staff are French in the main). The portions are Euro-sized (not your typical American buffet gargantuan) and relatively pricey for this part of the world. But you'll never be disappointed in the quality and variety. Really... I have taken many friends here for lunch for years and all are just amazed. Very quaint, food and service is always great. My last time there we sat out side. A slight rain came up and was just so nice and peaceful. Very relaxed your never rushed. What a special treat. This is a hidden gem in KC .... More

What an incredible experience. Coming from St. Louis and new to the area, I brought three of my children for a special meal. Everything was great, from the decor, the french music, and the interaction of the owner and staff. Of course I speak fluent french, which made it fun, but each dish was perfectly prepared and brought out in... More

Cafe Provence is absolutely wonderful! The staff will make you feel as though you were traveling in France and you did have the entire day to just sit and enjoy life! Never a rush, never a bother for them to assist you! The food is above and beyond and the menu is complex enough to find something of interest for... More

Stumbled upon this place and what a nice surprise! Lobster bisque was excellent, as was the lamb ragout. Wife had the scallops and pronounced them outstanding. Would definitely return. More
