A friend in the Indianapolis area, Amy Watson, recommended Harry and Izzy's when I said I was looking for the best steak. I was not disappointed. This is a sister restaurant of the neighboring St. Elmo's Steakhouse. Great beer selection of local faves on draft. The rolls were absolutely delicious...almost addictive all on their own. I was smart enough to... More

Wonderful fixed menu lunch menu that allowed my friends and I to experience world-famous shrimp cocktail and a filling lunch for $20. Yummy!

I preferred the vibe here versus St Elmos. More relaxed, a little more modern, a little less "good old boys club.". Shrimp cocktail was as good as next door. Filet was one of the better I have had in a while and the rolls were quite good. I didn't do any sides, unless a Grey Goose with blue cheese olives... More

I ate dinner at Harry and Izzy's as part of a large party. We were in a private room, which shielded us from some of the restauarant noise, because the restaurant was very busy on a Monday evening. The food was good. The atmosphere is comfortable. The service was great. I would not hesitate to eat here again if I... More

Lovely food and as the weather was nice a chance to eat outside and watch the world go by. Lots of horse drawn carriages going passed. Service was good.

We got 2 of their signature sandwiches, fries and drinks. good but neither one of us finished our plates. Appetizers we did the signature shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were great sizes but the horseradish was so strong neither finished those either. Staff was nice and everything came out on time and hot. But we wish we would have waited for... More

You will love this upbeat restaurant with really good food. We had the shrimp cocktail (great with a nice hot kick!), yeast rolls (melt in your mouth good), spinach salad adding chicken (great dressing) and prime rib pizza (incredible!!!). Highly recommend this restaurant!

This was my second time and I have to say it wasn't as impressive as the first time. The salmon was pretty flavorless.

Indianapolis is famous for the St Elmo's Restaurant and it's shrimp cocktail appetizer. Here's a bit of insider information: The sister restaurant, HARRY and IZZY'S, right next door, serves the same appetizer and is usually less crowded. The horseradish they use is very fresh and will really give your sinuses a run for the money! Highly recommended! Although this trip,... More

I was on business in Indy and asked about placed to eat. Everyone said to go to St. Elmo's and get the shrimp cocktail. I was staying at the Conrad Hotel and the concierge actually told us to go to Harry and Izzy's instead of St. Elmo's because it was a little less stuffy and slightly cheaper. We arrived at... More
