Yats has the best Cajun in town. If you're a fan of Cajun, or just spicy food in general, Yats can't be beat. The service is always excellent, the price is low, and the food is phenomenal. Nothing compares to Yats' bread!

A fellow traveller raved about Yats, so I had to try it too. I ordered the spinach mushroom etoufee. As I open my wallet, the takout box arrives steaming on the counter. Consistency-wise, it wasn't appealing; this creamy green blob on rice. But! It was delicious and I ate every bit of it.

We ordered four menu items to share: Drunken Chicken, white chicken chili, maque choux and gumbo. All three were very good but not served hot - they were just warm. I love this Yat's. I've eaten here more times than I can count. Sometimes the line is out the door, but don't let that deter you. We tried four different entrees and everything was great. Perfectly seasoned across the food. Our kids loved it too. Nice eating area that has a good amount of room. Very friendly staff and excellent prices. Order extra bread for sure.

I like Yat's. The food isn't what I would call excellent, but for good cheap cajun-ish/creole-ish food it's not bad. I will say they seem to thicken very heavily with some roux or corn starch on some dishes giving them a certain sheen and glop like consistency that is a bit different from more authentic versions of this food, but... Great food. You can try before you buy. Menu changes daily and the price is very very reasonable. Service is very fast and friendly. Be sure to try the extra little sauce collection that they have.

There is nothing to dislike about Yats, unless you don't like awesome food at the right temperature. It is wonderful and it is fresh. I do recommend using a spoon to eat the food. When it is this good, you need a shovel...... the forks are too small and the food is too good. ;-)
