Bouught a large sausage pizza and it fed the 5 of us with some left over for a late night snack. It was the 1st time we went to Chicago and this was the 1st pizza we tried there. It did not let us down.

Ok I used to live in Chicago and thought Gino's east was the best deep dish pizza around. Since I've eaten giordano's and Lou malnati's I have discovered this is not true. The pizza is still good but not near as good as the other 2. If you are eating with someone who doesn't like pizza the other selections are...

While Lou Malnati's or Giordano's are equally good, Gino's East gives you an excellent Chicago deep dish experience. Prepare to take some home, even if you go small size. The crust, cheeses, and sauce are all praise-worthy.
just ordered again from gino's and i must say there employees must be sleepy or just plain stupid because this is the fifth time they messed up my order and when i say FIFTH time it's because i'm one of those people that isn't mean and gives people chances but come on seriouisly 5 times you can't get my order...

No one should come to Chicago and leave without trying the best pizza in the world. Order the sausage patty that covers the crust. Lots of area locations.
Brought a wine from home (Sonoma County) to share with a friend and was told they don't allow you to do that. Otherwise their wine list is very poor. Never heard of not allowing bottles from home before & neither did some Chicago area friends. However, the local deep veggie pizza with the cornbread crust was a first for me....

The sauce was flavorful with plummy tomatoes. The cheese had a great taste and just the right amount. The crust was very corn mealy but it actually added to the pizza. Second best deep dish I've had. Definitely a do over.
We picked up our Marine from O'Hare and hopped over to this GIno's--nice and close. Great service, great waitress, pleasant atmosphere; also allowed us to call in order early and then come in and eat. (Takes about 40 minutes to bake.) OK deep dish, but Giardano's deep dish was less greasy and had better crust, better flavor. Family was disappointed,...

Love eating here--beats going all the way downtown for the same quality pizza and no wait! Classic Chicago pizza. If you're starving while you wait try the toasted ravioli. YUM!
The crust is from cornbread-what is that about?? Not bad but nothing compared to pizza in NJ! Go somewhere else or try the thin crust
