This was my second time here. I got take out both times. Portions are large. Food is great. The bakery has wonderful treats too. This place always draws a crowd. Make sure to check it out!!

Eat here often. The soup is wonderful whether the usual Jewish chicken soups or their special. The salads are fine, the corned beef sandwiches on rye are just what the doctor ordered and the prices are decent. A better value than Max and Bennies'.

It is very ordinary inside, not the nicest place to eat, but seems clean and the service is good. Can get noisy. I prefer to take it out and eat it at home. Great matzo ball soup, pastrami, corned beef sandwiches. Darn now I ahve to drive over there and get a take out order I got hungry thinking about it.

Not kosher, they have BLTs and ham sandwiches. Is "kosher style" like "gangnam style?" Food generally tasty and enjoyable but far below the New York standard. Nothing quite gets it right. Pastrami cut thin but too fatty and wet. Rice pudding too starchy. Matzoh balls dense and unfriendly. Huge portions, so you go away nice and full.

Food is good and I have never had an issue here. I felt that the portions are getting smaller and the prices higher

Food is consistently good. LOVE the Hopple Popple Omelet & huge corned beef sandwiches. If you need some comfort food look no further. Dr. Brown's sodas served and the togo menu includes frozen soups.

We had a need to send a shiva tray from out of town to friends in Highland Park. We tried to order a shiva tray over the phone, but we were left on hold for so long that we didn't get to. Max & Benny's was next choice and they took the order promptly and professionally.

Food is very mediocre. Chicken soup and matza balls -- not so good. Not many good delis on the North Shore, surprisingly.

This is a deli in a strip mall in Highland Park. The food is mostly very good. I was there a couple of days ago and took food out. The corned beef is always good and you have the option to get it regular (read: fat on) or lean. I always get some small containers of food and meat to... More
