I love this place! I was born and raised in Chicago and use to go to Nookie's almost once a week for years. I have since moved to Atlanta, but make it a point to always make a visit to Nookie's when I am making a visit home like I just did on April 13. The food is ALWAYS great... More

My friends and I are breakfast at Nookies and we were very pleased with the choices on the menu and the taste of the food. I got blueberry pancakes and ordered strawberries on top. I guess I wasn't specific enough because it came with blueberries and strawberries and I got charged 2$ extra for the strawberries. I thought that was... More

Ran in for a bite before hitting the bars. I've eaten here a couple times, always with something different, and have never been disappointed. The service can be spotty, but not the food. It's diner fare, but always tastes fresh, and very reasonable. Nothing special inside to look at, except for the possible patrons.

For the money, the Nookies restaurants are as good as it gets in Chicago. I've never had anything less than an excellent meal there, and I'm there very frequently.

Nookies Tree is an excellent diner, but it is more like a restaurant than diner. The food is always freshly prepared and very good tasting. They specialize in reasonably priced, high quality food. This is the kind of place you go when you would rather go home, but home is not available and you go here instead since you know... More

I always have a good meal at Nookies. Last week's Chicken Pot Pie--full of fresh chicken plus a parmesan and potato crust--was better than what you get at linen tablecloth restaurants. Service is friendly and efficient, and the low-key ambience makes for a relaxed meal in the heart of Boystown.

I eat here whenever I'm in this part of town, and am never disappointed. I stopped in for a late breakfast on 08/27/11, and had one of their specials......fresh peach pancakes with raspberries and peach butter. DELICIOUS! The portion was so large that I couldn't finished it. They were busy so service was not very attentive, but it's a diner,... More
