I found this restaurant to be overpriced and just okay. The waitstaff seemed to be preoccupied. There were only three place settings at the table when there were four of us, and we had to ask for the extra place setting after our food arrived. We ordered gyoza, chirashi, age tofu (not cooked the way we are accustomed to), fashion... More

Good Japanese food, but nothing outstanding. Sushi was good, and plenty of it. Atmosphere was good. Service was very attentive. Overall I would say this was a good dining experience, but just not exceptional.

I have been here a couple of times and enjoyed a bowl of ramen. I have not had the sushi here. I would definitely come back to this place for noodles and would try the sushi. The service was good and the place looks nice inside. One time I went here they had the restaurant set up for a huge... More

Chicago can’t compare to New York, much less Tokyo, when it comes to high quality ramen and Japanese homestyle cooking, but Cocoro does a pretty good job, for a price. Unlike Ginza, where on multiple occasions I’ve had to order two bowls of noodles for dinner, Cocoro doesn’t have a quantity problem. But, $12-$17 for a bowl of noodles seems... More

We went to the restaurant on Thanksgiving evening. Although the sushi chef is not in house, we are still treated to yummy treats :) The ramen noodles is quite authentic, the soup base is very rich. Although they should have the soft boiled egg in the noodle... The service is friendly and we had a great time.

Family and I had lunch at this Japanese-run restaurant on Nov. 21, 2011: Bento box, miso ramen, udon ramen, sashimi combo. 9-yr old loved the Bento box, which was well-presented and tasty. Very delicious broth in both soups- child almost stole mine! Was surprised to read the older ratings here. Our meal was one of the best meals we've had... More

okay Japanese - only that they have shabushabu, which you may just do it by yourself at home after going to Asian market. Not great, I think gyoza was bad. They were lucky I did not eat more than one piece.
