Being from LA and having a Thai roommate in college, I have been exposed to great Thai food. This was variable.
Our party did not take more than one spoonful of the lemon drop soup-
They thought very heavy as if finished with sesame oil.
One person got tofu pho and again very little eaten.
Crab Rangoon all gobbled down...

Their food is always good. They will make the food as mild or scorching hot as you want. They have a large menu choice and everything is good. One of my favorite Thai places in Boise.
After reading other people's reviews I decided to try this place and it didn't disappoint. The food was great! I have tried most of the Thai restaurants in Boise and this one and Mai Thai are my two favorites.
This is our favorite place to visit. Prices are sooooo low and food is tasty. Hubby likes spicy food and most restaurant can never get to where he wants them in spice. This places can def get there. Feels like a hole in the wall type of place but those are the best in my opinion.
I go here regularly. It's probably the best Thai restaurant in town. It's packed at lunch so expect to wait a few minutes. Dinner is a little less slammed. The pad thai and hoonan are delicious. Beware of the spice though. Ask the very helpful servers for guidance on how hot it will be.
Like most of the asian restaurants...

I am not an expert at "authenticity" of Chiang Mais food, so my comments relate to quality ingredients, flavor, presentation, and service. Chiang Mai excels in all of these areas. The Pad Prik King with pork was crammed with fresh vegetables and was "spicy" as advertised. The Yellow Curry with chicken was milder but still very flavorful. Lunch specials are...

The soups are soothing - a perfect counterpoint to their fiery curries, noodle dishes, and stir-fries. Their lunch service is always busy - portions huge. My favorite Thai restaurant: location isn't the best, but the staff is great, the food so worth the drive!
I've been to Thailand twice so I'm a pretty harsh critic. This food is still not highly authentic in terms of the heavy Chinese influence of the menu. You will see this a little in Thailand but much more in America, because that's what most Americans like. However, they have sone good appetizers and great soups and several well done...
