Found the Barefoot Cafe while browsing Tripadvisor. Had lots of positive reviews and decided to try it out. Went at prime time- 12 noon. The place was packed. Half of the diners must have been regulars. Greeted by name & "having your regular?". One fellow just sat down at the counter and three minutes later was handed his food. I... More

For anyone that says that The Barefoot cafe is nothing special, your WRONG! The Barefoot Cafe has to be the best place in town to eat. It saddens me the days they arent open and in the evening. There food is EXCELLENT! If you do not like the food something is seriously wrong with you. Reading the few reviews that... More

The sandwiches at this place are finger licking good. I tried the spicy sandwich, which had a kick but was not too much to handle, and it was very good. The portions are shareable or if you are like me, you order your own and take half home for a snack later! In addition the service was great. Tip: get... More

Ooh these baked hoagies are good. Small place tucked away in the town of Vero Beach on the mainland, on 14th Avenue. Lots of people there but did not wait long for our order. Great staff and those hoagies make us want to return.

I have lived in Vero for 5 years and recently discovered this awesome cafe. I have been in there probably 10 times, since my first visit, 2 months ago and every time it gets better and better. For breakfast, I would recommend the Tuscan Wrap. For lunch, I would recommend the Cajun Chicken Wrap. YUMMY!!!

When I saw this was the #1 rated restaurant in Vero, well I'm not sure what people are thinking. It's small diner (Cafe if you prefer) in downtown Vero that serves breakfast and lunch. I went in for breakfast while my car was being serviced a block away. I wanted pancakes, nope, how about some waffles, nope. Okay.....how about some... More

Efforts to contact reviewer and offer an invitation to visit our restaurant and experience the cuisine that we actually provide have gone unanswered. I refer diners with less adventurous tastes to our other local Mom & Pops all the time, and it is my pleasure. We take great pride in every dish that we prepare and we certainly do not... More

Casual, counter service, much, much better than average food, especially the soup and daily specials. Especially good if you are off booze in the day time, and do not want to be tempted. The owners are keeping limited hours, good for them, BUT, I think with a wine & beer license, and similarly good dinner items, it would be a... More
