I expected country club quality, but got very average quality food at the Horse and Hounds. I'm guessing your experience will depend on who's in the kitchen the night you visit.

The prime rib special on Monday night was excellant for the price. The atmosphere of an old English pub made the experience evan better. Wait staff was very pleasant and attentive.

Food was delicious and good service. Seems like a very upbeat venue. Not a very large variety of food choices.

We visit Ocala annually, and have always liked Horse and Hounds, but this time was not good. Prime rib was dry, short ribs weren't cooked recently, baked potato was cold. Server was great though.

Went on Monday for their $20 prime rib for 2 special. Asked for, and received end cut. Food seasoned nicely and the other serving was cooked rare as is normal for this dish. Came with baked potato. No complaints this time.
