This was the second time we visited the restaurant. The food was great and we really enjoyed it and will be back. The service of Slvie was impeccable. What a joy! Thanks Sylvie. Great experience again and we will forgive the arrogance and big ego of Patrick. Time to become humble. Honnestly. You may not be at your place serving... More

My husband and I had one night in Miami before departing for St. Kitts. We love French food and are always looking for the real thing here in the states. The setting was intimate and comfortable; approximately 10 tables. It is only Patrick ad Slyvia handling the floor with their warm and knowledgable style. We enjoyed the tasting menu with... More

We had the most amazing anniversary dinner at Pied a Terre. Everything was made with so much thoughtfulness in balance of ingredients. My husband had the blue crab soup---- amazing and the duck with a ginger au jus. I had the sea bass which was prepared with aromatic Peruvian spices. For dessert the creme brûlée with lavender..outstanding... Patrick recommends the... More

Compared to fine restaurants in Europe, Pied a Terre is an average restaurant. The food was good, but not special. When you pay extra you expect good food that´s above average.. The service was a bit much, the waitress was talking alot, and our waterglasses didnt get topped up.. They had good wine.

Went here with my partner for dinner in April. It was a pleasant surprise, the restaurant is very small, tastefully decorated and very intimate, it has a very European feel without trying too hard. It was a welcome change from some of the over-the-top Miami restaurants. The food was fantastic with the tuna starter being a particular star. Sylvia is... More

Not a relaxing meal. This restaurant should let the food speak for itself . It is also quite expensive for South Beach. Didn't really work for us.

This is a 10-table boutique restaurant driven by the vision of the manager, Patrick Gruest. (There are more tables by the pool and on a terrace -- we loved it inside.) He pollinates the menu with dishes from celebrity chefs he recruits from France for annual visits. Several of the dishes were remarkable. The wine list is his creation --... More

The food was of the highest order and one of the best meals I have had in the US. We had different starters; lobster ravioli (which was excellent) and the vegetable tart (which was very good). We both had the sea bass which was exceptional. The sommelier is of the "directional" European style rather than of the effusive style typically... More

This lovely gem is tucked inside a leaf-cladden boutique hotel, so it is a bit tough to find. But once we did, oh, it was like unearthing a secret treasure! The Vegetable Tart is nothing less than amazing, something I could eat everyday but never reproduce because the preparation was technical magic. Everything was delicious, and Patrick selected wines for... More
