I had been longing for a Cuban sandwich on this trip to Florida and not only did I find one at El Ambia Cubano but it was the best I have ever had! Add to this the old Florida charm of this restaurant and impeccable service by Kyle, and I just have to back there. Soon.

Love the cuban sandwich and tostones. Their daily plates are good, too. Tiny little restaurant, so expect to be packed in. Some outdoor seating that is pleasant. You should definitely try this restaurant if you like cuban food.

Authentic food!!....space is small but great atmosphere. They even have music on weekends. You can then stroll around and you might have the chance to see a manatee or dolphin.

We arrived at 8:02 on a Thursday, and were turned away, saying that they close at 8pm. A seated couple that we passed on our way out overheard us, and said that they arrived 5 minutes earlier than us, but also saw another couple get turned away after them but before us. It's a shame, because we've eaten there several... More

Sorry, we close 8:00pm and we plan ahead what we need to cook till 8:00pm. We also do not store food overnight. It is not cost effective to start cooking again for 2 or 3 people. Also commercial cooking equipment takes time to cool down and to warm up. We value all of our customers, but it is a shame... More

When we walked in I had serious second thoughts about sitting down and ordering. But I'm so glad we stayed. It was like being at a neighbor's house for a home cooked Cuban meal. The live music helped make this a fun evening. The food was very good. The service was very good. I liked the Hemingway Rice and the... More

I got to meet the owner today and what a welcoming person he is. The food, as always, was great. I had the medianoche cuban sandwich. So tasty ~ the pork is incredibly juicy and the sweet bread is toasted to perfection. The place is small, loud and boisterous and just what I would expect to walk into if eating... More

Based on the reviews below, I chose to have dinner at El Ambia. I was VERY pleased. The menu was short, but the taste, quantity, colour, and presentation were excellent. I STRONGLY recommend trying the 'fruity' iced tea.... tremendous! Please note that they close their lunch service at 3pm and re-open for dinner at 5pm

I went out to dinner, after my dad suggested this place. Looking at a very limited menu, I ended up ordering two appetizers, the sweet plantains and chicken empanada. The three of us shared the yuca, which were very good, especially when dipped in a mango salsa. We had to specially ask for it, but that's okay. Just a warning,... More

My brother and sisters were looking for a place to get some Cuban coffee and decided to try El Ambia Cubano. As soon as I walked through the door the smells were amazing. Our server Billy was great telling us about the food on the menu. The next day we went back for lunch with our parents (my dad had... More
