The service was awful at this place and seems to have gotten a lot worst since my last visit. My appetizers were never brought out, never offered bread, and my daughter waited over 20 minutes for a side of ketchup. Doubt this place will last! I miss the old Martys

We were celebrating an occasion with family and friends in the side of the restaurant that has a room for 50 people. As one enters, one can go to the right into the restaurant proper, where there are tables, booths, and a bar, or one can go to the left where there is a large room that can be rented... More

My husband and I were looking for lobsters without any luck, so we stopped here. Very cute inside. Keith was our waiter and he was very good. We ended up both having pasta with lobster. It was pretty good. The menu had many choices. We spoke with the manager and he was very nice. He told us the restaurant opened... More

For our last evening in Connecticut, our family (6 of us) went to Sophia's at the recommendation of our uncle, who we went to visit. When you walk in, the ambiance immediately says, "Sit, eat, stay, and enjoy!". It has a very at-home feeling with the warm hues of paint, oversized booths, checkered table cloths...great atmosphere! The "Family Style Dining"... More

I had the Ahi Tuna that truly was a delight to savor. The meal was not only delightful but pleasantly filling. The atmosphere supports an intimate gathering, friends or a family with older children. The price is reasonable and the staff is attentive. Delightful food, great value and attentive staff, Sophia's has hit the trifecta for the restaurant industry.

We stopped there for lunch on a Friday, the place was empty, beside us there was 2 other small parties. Half of the dinning area was closed and apparently one server on duty. We asked for 3 diet cokes and 3 chopped salads....couldn't be easier than that... Well, it took 10 full minutes for our beverages to arrive and 42... More

We pulled up here 5 on a Friday and it was a ghost town. We took a chance. It paid off. Italian was delish. A glass of moscato, zuppa di pesce with a few substitutions and short ribs - all wonderful. Fresh pasta would have been a nice touch. Service was wonderful and accommodating. Smelled smoke though, maybe you can... More
