My husband and I eat at Pizza Works often...it is a casual spot next to the train station in Old Saybrook and is themed accordingly with a miniature train that runs along a track overhead. You can feel the rumble of the approaching trains which adds to the atmosphere. There is a very large menu of pizza choices, both red... More

Excellent thin crusted pizza, which comes in just one size. Try the bread crust. Great for families and small children too. The train displays upstairs are very interesting and will keep a child's attention for a while. They also have outdoor seating in good weather. The Old Saybrook train station is right next door so that adds to the interest... More

We visited this restaurant last night for the second time in two weeks. We make our own terrific thin and deep dish pizza from scratch and seldom enjoy a restaurant pizza. This was the exception. Excellent pizzas and service both times. The small house salad was delicious and was more than enough for two people at a very reasonable price.... More

Atmosphere is very family oriented- kids seemed very excited to be there. Food was delicious- they have a wide variety of pizza toppings and specialties as well (I highly recommend the spinach feta with Carmelites onions on the white pizza menu) they also have a long list of beers broken down into categories and a list of seasonal a too!... Pizza Works has amazing pizza, great beer selection, and delicious salads (with massive portions too). You fill up fast here without spending a lot of money. Whenever I'm in the area (or within an hour drive), I pick Pizza Works when I'm craving pizza. Try the Chop Salad--it amazing

This was our first time here. We ordered a small tossed salad and a whole wheat crust cheese, spinach and mushroom pizza. The portions were generous. The whole crust was crusty and crunchy. The service was very good and friendly. This restaurant is family friendly as well. Kids will enjoy of the display of trains. We will definitely go back.

We live in Old Saybrook and go here probably once/month. Love the Blacksmith salad - the small is enough for a family of four. The pizzas are all the same size, pretty small by most standards. This is the Shoreline, not NYC, so you aren't going to get to die for pizza, but Pizza Works' is very tasty. You can... More

We get take out from Pizza Works pretty much every time we visit our friends in Old Saybrook. The pizza is smaller than your typical pizza place and are priced a little higher, but the quality of the food is worth it. They offer a variety of white and red specialty pizzas along with the normal plan cheese. If you... More

The pizza works is right at the train stop and a great place to grab some good pizza when you jump off the train or driving down I-95. The pizza is excellent and has many types of white and red style pizzas. It is getting a little dirty or old though.
