Great little place with seafood specials. Right near a dock. Offers indoor and outdoor seating. Service is all right. Don't visit if you dislike seagulls.
Indoor area and also outdoor picnic tables overlooking the Marina in SONO (SOuth NOrwalk). Reasonable prices for great, fresh fish without pretense. Very friendly staff, joking around with each other and the customers. Adjacent outdoor bar are with rickety stools serves up reasonably priced drinks and cold appetizers. We ordered one shrimp cocktail and bought two more.
Sono Seaport is average. For a meal. Perhaps the jazz or the deck or etc. makes up for an average meal, but I don't know. When I went it was a bit cool to sit outside and the inside ambience wasn't bad, but definitely wasn't noteworthy. I sat at the bar and watched sports TV, which wasn't a bad deal... More
Great spot to hang out on a deck next to the water on a Sunday afternoon and hear some awesome jazz music. They have some great talents coming through and the beverages are equally enjoying. Say Hi to Jack while you are there. Tell him the golf couple from Danbury sent you there.
We have eaten here many times before but this visit was very disappointing. We ate on a Friday evening at about 7.30. The restaurant was reasonably busy but not exceptionally so. I had a fried seafood platter. The scallops were nicely done but the tilapia was not very nice and the prawns were well over cooked. The presentation was extremely... More
I go here for the fresh local clams and oysters -- caught in Long Island Sound by Norwalk's own shell fishermen. The restaurant has a lot on the menu, so I'm not surprised to see such a wide range of opinions on the food, but to me, the main reason for going is for fresh clams and oysters, and sitting... More
I probably should have read some of the Trip Advisor Reviews before we went here. The restaurant was suggested by the hotel shuttle bus driver, he said the food was good. We tried to get in on a Saturday night and there was an hour and a half wait. Wow, I thought, this place must be great. We went back... More
We visited the SONO Seaport Seafood Inc, about a week ago. My GF and I with two kids. We had done a boat ride in Norwalk Harbor and passed by the restaurant on the way back. It appeared to be a kid friendly restaurant (if not the only one around) so we decided to give it a try. I was... More
We go to a restaurant to get good food, right? In this place, the food was mediocre and way overpriced for what you receive!! We got the Broiled seafood platter and it was pathetic - few bay scallops (in the menu it said scallops, we were expecting large ones), few overcooked shrimp and small tilapia filet (the cheapest fish there...
