I had read some bad reviews about the service at this restaurant on Tripadviser. I can't say that was our experience at all. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We had a nice salad with iceberg lettuce for a reasonable price of $4. Had a pitcher of sangria, which we enjoyed. I don't like alot of sangrias because they... More

Great food and service. Its Portuguese paella is a must. For appetizer, you would appreciate the chorizo ahumado. Definitely, this a place to visit either a weeks day or a weekend. I really enjoyed it.

We decided to do The Taste of Hartford at O'Porto since we hadn't been there in quite awhile. The food was mediocre at best, the service fine, the atmosphere lacking. With so many other restaurants in the area we won't be returning not even for the $20.13.

My retired buddy and I ( I'm 40 ) went out for our monthly dinner and wanted something new. The Taste of Hartford site brought us to looking at O'Porto. The food was of excellent quality. We both started off with some really great quality seafood spring rolls and loaded with Shrimp. For a main meal, we got the seafood... More

The weekend before Christmas and after a matinee performance at the Bushnell we decided to go to O’Porto for a festive celebration meal. The upscale Portuguese restaurant is a favorite in Hartford, Connecticut and our family has been there before and had enjoyed it. But today wasn’t our day at O'Porto. We did not have a reservation at 5:30 on... More

Food was maybe a bit above average in quality but the portions were on the small side especially considering the price they charged. Nice atmosphere , easy parking, but I do not think we will return. The rack of lamb, had maybe 4 bites . Nice fresh bread came with the meal.

I have wanted to come here for quite some time and finally made reservations. We were seated promptly and helped with wines but then we were left alone for a long period of time. We noticed quite a few wait staff, and most of them seemed busy but nobody stopped at our table. We finally had our order taken and... More

On a Friday night, entered the restaurant, we were the only ones in the entryway but no one acknowledged out existence for 5 minutes. OK we thought, maybe a little busy, finally were seated and given a menu, but sat for 10 minutes at the table before anyone came with a greeting of "are you ready to order"?... what was... More

We were looking forward to going--it was my friend's birthday. Yes, the atmosphere is quite nice and the staff was friendly. We ordered the paella--chicken and chourizo. They mistakenly withheld the chourizo (?) and just brought some back to add to the dish, but the dish was nearly devoid of flavor. Also, the rice appeared to be boxed rice, or... More

Very nice atmosphere with friendly & attentive waiters (not to mention cute!). The food is always delicious but you don't really get a lot for the price. Still, you are paying for quality, not quantity. I do wish though that there was enough to take home to enjoy again! Check their website too for specials.
