The are lots of decent clamstacks around but they lack in atmospher, this is right smack in the heart fo the marina, ontop of the water, in Mystic!! Best of all they have your favorite wine or beer, because you brought it! i almost hate to share...

Costello's is listed in Groton, but it's closer to Mystic, and actually in Noank, CT. It's virtually next door to Abbott's, and equally hard to find; but if you follow the signs to Abbott's and continue on another 100 yards, you're there. (They share ownership -- Costello's serves potato chips in Abbott's bags) We're told Costello's slightly cheaper than Abbott's,...

We come to Costello's every year! We love their hot lobster rolls and clam fritters. Love that is it BYOB also and bring a bottle of wine. Only down fall is that they need high chairs! My daughter had no where to sit :(
Tucked away near a shipyard. Delicious lobster bisque. Fried shrimp, shoestring fries, and homemade coleslaw was very good. Peaceful New England clam shack. A must go.

Was visiting Ct. with a friend and wanted fried "whole" belly clams.....ordered Hot "lobsta" roll, cold "lobsta" roll and a whole belly clam dinner. All was very good and ate it out on the deck overlookig the water.................can't beat the atmosphere and food was mmm mmm good!
Enjoyed the upper deck looking out on the harbor while feasting on the above mentioned seafood along with a 6 pack of Sam Adams. All good quality and reasonably priced. Least favorite item was the steamer whole belly clams. A bit chewy and expensive for what they were. Overall highly recommended clam shack.
