Ate breakfast here one Sunday a.m. while traveling with my wife. Service was very helpful and attentive. Food was average. I tried the gyro omelet w. tzatziki sauce which was o.k. but the homefries were mush! How can you screw up something that simple? Wife had waffle after finding out her favorite corned beef hash is from a can. Eggs... More

While this place has a large menu, it's best for Sunday breakfast foods. Their other dishes don't taste home made or freshly prepared. Not all that a "diner" should be. The service has always been good.

Hands down, the best diner in Connecticut. I have eaten here countless times over the past few years, whether it be for breakfast, lunch, or really late at night and have always had a positive experience! You will walk in to Elmer's (They acquired another parking lot so parking is now more convenient) to find an incredibly clean building and... More

I've gone to Elmer's about 5 times with my two young daughters. Usual array of diner fare. Quality of food is between "ok" and "very good". Service is very good and fast and friendly - we have never waited more than a couple of minutes to be waited on or served. The diner is always clean and is kept in... More

Elmer's has just about everything on the menu that you can imagine. The food is good for diner food and the service is excellent. On the way out they even give you a cookie!

Extra parking is no longer across the road from the diner. There is now an upper parking lot on the same side of the road, so it's safe to walk. It's open 24 hours and a good place to go. If you want fancy, it's not. It is, however clean. The waitstaff is consistently friendly. Elmer is on the premisis... More

Elmers Diner is a good place to grab a bite for breakfast if you have time in the morning. the parking lot is small so you do have to park across the street, kiind of dangerous trying to cross that street.

Friendly, casual, good food, prompt service, but on a very busy road. Across-the-street parking may be hazardous.

You almost always have to park across a the major road and traffic is less than cooperative. Diner food for upscale diner prices. New place, nice staff, clean...not to go out of your way but a good place to grab a bite
