The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant is even more beautiful. However, for the price I paid for my meal and the lack of server knowledge of our server, it was not worth it. The wine suggested did not pair with my meal and it was too far in to get another glass. It seemed a little slower than most... More

My husband & I enjoyed an excellent seafood dinner here. We are from Houston, which has excellent seafood, so our expectations were high. The atmosphere is formal European, not my typical style, but it made for a nice quiet romantic evening. Our table was near the entrance to the Sonnelap lounge, with live music, which added to the ambience. The... More

Quite, great service, excellent food, atmosphere you can only hope for. Intimate, mature, sophisticated a real treat. Definately in the crust of Vail

I had picked this to celebrate my 60th birthday with my family. The service was slow and more important the entrees were of low quality especially for $40 entrees. Also an automatic 20% service charge was unreasonable for 6 people but also allowed them to give us poor service.

We had a 5 course set meal on Valentine's day which was the best food we had all week in Vail. Our other restaurants included Larkspur, Sweet Basil, 10th and Matsuhisia. The main was an amazing pork tenderloin wrapped in panceta.

After a horrible experience in the Bully Ranch, we went to Ludwigs the next night and wow, just wow! Best seafood I had in recent memory. I hope it doesn't have the same fate as the Bully.

The service was great. However I ordered the snapper with risotto. I had to send the risotto back because it was under cooked. The second batch was awful. My red snapper was very tasty. They took off the price of our drinks because of the risotto. My husband seem pleased with his meal. It was just ok. Nothing special. There... More

Delicious!! During this holiday Ludwig's has become our second favourite restaurant after game creek. We also enjoyed elway's restaurant. campo de fiori restaurant was ok 4/5. Cheaper good eats being the George and the red lion. Ludwig's: Quite a fancy resturant for a ski resort but relaxed and friendly. You have to look for the hotel to find its location.... More

We decided to go to Ludwig's to celebrate my wife's birthday. We weren't disappointed. Although pricey, the food was excellent and uniquely presented. Make sure you check out their daily specials. Unless you mention the special they will not honor it as with my order of Bouillabaisse which was charged at the regular price of $32 instead of the special... More

After many attempts at trying to find a decent meal in a US ski resort, or anywhere else for that matter, we booked in at Ludwig's. The food here is the best I have had in the US and probably a lot of other places too. We shared a starter and dessert as the portions in the US are always... More
