Food was good, but acoustics were terrible. We couldn't even have a conversation it was so noisy. also, rather expensive for Mexican food. A combo plate averaged $17.

The best food and the best value in Telluride. This is my goto restaurant for Great, High Quality food, and the price is the extra bonus. Homemade, organic, locally grown when available. Also great kids menu (read, kids size portions of regular menu items).
Great prices for fresh create your favorite southwest food. Very friendly staff! Huge wraps, yummy sauces and best part for kids, get your own chips bar!
Small eating area and early closing are the only drawbacks to this place! The food is great, the staff friendly and its not too pricey. If your in Telluride and want good food at a reasonable price, you need to eat here, you will leave full and still have money in your wallet (unlike most places in Tellurde).
Our ginger 18 year old was mexi-hungry so our group of 6 made our way down the mountain on the gondola to fiesta at La Cocina de Luz. No one was dissappointed! From the delicious pork tamales, to the steak burrito, to my favorite soft steak tacos; everything was really delicious and fresh. The margueritas were tart but delicious. And...

This is a quaint and casual restaurant in Telluride. I live the mix and match concept on their items. Being vegetarian, I chose two soft corn tacos filled with garlic roasted veges, guacamole and cheese. The fresh chops and salsa choices were delicious too. It will be my go to spot for lunch on Telluride
Let's face it, the food in Telluride is way above average for anywhere else I have visited and most places will really blow your mind with flavor. This place is no acception. We had dinner here on our first night bc the taxi driver told us it was the best Mexi joint in town. I have to agree with him!!...

Yes this spot was "just right" for a burrito or chop salad. The service was excellent and food was fresh. There are mostly familiar Mexican restaurant staples like quesadillas and margaritas with a touch of telluride flair.
This is where I go to meet friends for a casual meal. The staff is friendly, the food is good, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the prices are reasonable for Telluride.
LA cocina de luz is a great mexican place, most of the ingredients are organic wich is a big plus. All the burritos, flautitas and quesadillas are out of this world! Drinks are something special. ANd the price is more than fair.
