Great meeting place to get together with friends in front of a cozy fire over a game of checkers. Right on the river with coffees, quiche, cold drinks, pastries. We even have some meetings there in the side room.

We stayed at the Springs resort, right across the river from this place, so it was convenient and had a nice view of the river. Worth doing once for the location. Yuppie joint with high prices and small portions. If that's wat you like then you'll love it. If you want lower prices and more food then still do this once for the experience. Great view of the river and hot springs from the motels. Did it once and won't go back.

Even in the dead of winter, or especially in the dead of winter, this is a very pleasant place to go. It can be compared to the nicest Starbucks, and the coffee is even better. The poppy seed cake is probably the best I have ever eaten. Service was friendly and efficient.

Good coffee, right next to the hot springs and shopping in Pagosa Springs. We had your normal cup of joe...delightful. They also have delicious looking pastries. A little bit of local stuff sold in there. We purchased the locally made pottery. Not a disappointment.

We ordered a latte and cafe mocha - great coffee. However, the breakfast burritos were $1.50 more if you ordered TO-GO. Weird?! So they charge you more if you want to eat your breakfast there...

The best thing about this shop is their location. If you are looking for the best breakfast & coffee you have to try Higher Grounds! Nothing is exceptional except the lOcation.

My buddies and I had lunch there before starting a week long bicycle tour. The ladies running the place were super friendly and served excellent food. The coffee and pastries were excellent too. They have a great quiche that is good for a light lunch. The drinks are great and the staff is super friendly. We always visit here when we are in Pagosa Springs.
