If you just want to eat something healthy and go about the rest of your day, try Mate. The food I believe is all organic, delicious and inexpensive. The teas are wonderful. Sit outside in the sun and watch the people go by. Open 24 hours most days!

An interesting place, to say the least. It's a clean and nicely decorated restaurant with wooden tables tucked into cozy booths that reminded me of tree houses. The staff behind the counter seemed indifferent or confused and got our order wrong. It's got an unusual vibe - the restroom walls and tables are covered with confusing religious propaganda. We spent... More

My husband and I stopped here for coffee on our way out of Colorado Springs, headed to Denver. My husband is a coffee nut and he always gets the same thing, an Americano, no matter where we are. As soon as he asked for "just a coffee" I knew something was up. Let's begin. The interior was really beautiful, with... More

My daughter's favorite spot in Manitou Springs. She was forever going there to get her tea fix. She absolutely loves this place.

Very quaint building. Loved the tiny, cozy decor. We tried coffee and iced mate drinks and loved them both. We didn't sample the food, but it looked very tasty.

I got to check this place out on our recent visit to Manitou Springs, and was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to try considering I had never had mate before, so they suggested the chilled "Common Ground" which seems to be a base for most of their mate drinks. They let my date and I both try several drinks,... More

So yes the mate factory seems to be quite the rage in manitou and I understand why. It is really ggreat tasting and allegedly good for you. It was my first time having yerba mate tea and was excellent. The factory itself was supper cute and surrounded by hippies and people playing music outside. Totally colorado! Check it out especially... More

When I was completing my undergrad the Mate was essential for those late night study sessions. The staff is always friendly, the coffee and tea always hot and the food always delish. The tables are comfortable and quirky and when the sun is shining this is one of the only places in Manitou you can get some vitamin D in... More
