Absolutely fantastic food! Service was great, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking! Highly recommended if you happen to be in the Grand Lake area!

We made a reservation for an anniversary dinner on a Sunday night in early June, we probably didn't need the reservation.
The ambiance is fantastic inside with views and sounds of water tumbling over huge rocks and exposed wood beams.
The menu is limited, but that adds somewhat to the charm. This is not a place to overwhelm you with...

We had the best rib-eye we've ever had (a special). And the trout was awesome. Our waitress turned out to be the new owner - her husband is the chef - she was charming friendly and jovial. The location is spectacular - very relaxing sipping Irish coffees and nibbling homemade berry pie while listening to the river roar. Would strongly...

We ate in the Rapids on a Sunday night in March. The food was very good - we both had grilled trout, and were pleased with it. The menu was not huge, but that can be a plus, since they're not trying to cook too great a range of food. The server/hostess was very friendly and helpful. Se never had...

We had a table by the creek...it was snowing, service and food were incredible! Couldn't have been any better.
What a wonderful evening we had here. All the staff and owners are so friendly and accommodating! We loved the food and the atmosphere. We can't wait for summer time to sit outside next the rapids. Great historic place we will be back.
The menu doesn't vary much, the elk is usually perfect. The martinis are great. Do not sit in the small tables near the kitchen, try to get a seat near the river. We had an anniversary dinner here that was wonderful and went back the next month with friends who thought we were crazy for giving it raves. On that...

We were staying at the Inn and ate here several nights. Only complaint was too many good things to choose among. Owners and staff really cared. Best example, I told the waitress I did not want the dressing which was to be on the special salad. She brings me the salad with the dressing on the side and reported that...

My husband and I were passing through Grand Lake on Labor Day and stopped here for lunch. We were very glad we did! It's not right on the main drag, so it was definitely less crowded than the other restaurants we saw. A storm had just passed through, so we weren't able to sit on the outdoor patio along the...

Our innkeeper recommended The Rapids when we asked for a seafood restaurant. It was a very good recommendation. We didn't have reservations, but even though it was a holiday weekend, they took our names and in fact, apologized that we had to wait a few minutes for a table. We waited at the bar, where the bartender suggested a very...
