I had a wonderful grilled halibut sandwich with fries. The price was good at around 12 dollars because the size was quite large. The draft beer selection was decent but not extensive. They had two TVs for sports. Overall ambiance was plain with a view of only a parking lot. I would go back for the food.

The Fish House is about a block off Historic Hwy 101 and easy to overlook but don't. This is a great little restaurant with good food at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. We will stop in again when we are in the area.

The focus here is on good seafood, with few or no frills. The fish seems very fresh, and the portions are good. I had the paella, which seems to be sort of a specialty, and was indeed very good. Nice touch of spiciness, and nice quantities of shrimp, clams, mussels, and fish pieces. The fish tacos looked good, and the... More

Kind of a hole in the wall place, but it serves really good fish. If you are looking for a good seafood meal and atmosphere doesn't matter - go here.

I have been dining at the SBFH for about 10 years of so. The food is always fresh and tasty. I always opt for the Grilled Salmon Sandwich on fresh sourdough. Can't be beat. Great selection of drinks too. Never had a bad meal. Although, I no longer live in San Diego, I make it a point to come back... More

Great Seafood at modest prices plus quick service ! Calamari is good starter followed by Fresh Red Snapper with 3 good side options. Paul is a good host with honest opinion too. Highly recommend for a quiet & easy place to get too with outside seating. Will be returning in the next few days !!

Mediocre food, fish not always fresh, and self service with an attitude.

Great food and terric service. Had a great lunch. The crab salad had an enormous amount of very fresh crabmeat.

Looking for quick service and several great fish dishes? Not fancy or snooty, Solana Beach Fish House is an easy stop and you'll have dinner quickly prepared. I must admit I love their fried fish and chips, shrimp, or oyster dinners although not the healthiest choice! Call ahead to take out is super quick too.
