My wife, son and I ate dinner at Tar and Roses and found the cuisine to be original and delicious. Our waiter took great interest in our satisfaction, and the ambiance was energetic. Everything was clicking. If you like fish - be sure to have the whole fried snapper.

We made reservations for T and R in advance of our vacation to Santa Monica based on the feedback from Trip Advisor. The food, what there was of it, was good but not great. Portions were skimpy. Service and staff were good.

One of my favourites from my last trip. Very interesting food, well -prepared. The lamb belly was especially tender and delicious. Service informal but very charming. A good crowd, grown up and chatty without being overly loud - even the music was at a pleasant level. A great choice for either small or larger groups.

Seafood pot is delicious. Everyone loved their dinner. Service very good. We will return. Most creative food in Santa Monica.
