Last Draeger's I visited was in Blackhawk Plaza in Danville. I would always make it a treat when I had my hair done next door. I love this store for all the special items they don't have at your local stores or Safeway. The meat department and seafood is always good and fresh. I love the variety of items they... More

Great place in San Mateo to find good food, drinks and other stuff. Foodies should try it. Parking is easy, though we walk there more often.

We often go to Dreager's because, as a retired M.D. who is just learning to cook, I am able to find EVERYTHING I need for international recipes. Their produce is excellent, but over-priced. They even have an excellent selection of living, and cut, flowers. I have never been very impressed with the delicatessen offerings, especially the salads (Whole Foods being... More

I shop there almost every day since it is walking distance from my house. The butcher is friendly, helpful and most importantly, knowledgeable. The fresh fruits and vegetables are beautiful and very fresh. Their prices are high and if that is important to you, you will want to find a less expensive grocery store. But you won't be able to... I have been shopping at Draeger's for years and years now, and its strengths rest in providing the best and most amazing decorations, food, and linens for a party. I do not throw a party all that often, but as I am in the neighborhood, I drop in and find the BEST little gift for my house, or just the... More

You might think you are in Macy's when you see all the cooking equipment that is in the store., It is a grocery store which has anything that you might need to do a special recipe,. and a bakery that has loads of yummy stuff,. but be aware that there is a cost for this kind of store and you... Although very expensive, this store is not to be missed if you like to cook (and eat). A veritable fairyland of baked goods, cheeses, meats, and produce. I go there when I need exotic mushrooms or cheese, or when nothing but prime meat will do. The number of kinds of olive oil will make you dizzy.

try the chocolate cake in the bakery, they sell individual slices that are huge enough for two, and with a fork!!, you will be so happy you did. Upstairs is a well stocked cookbook, kitchen and home store with stuff you never thought you needed, the meat and fish departments are extensive, huge varieties of everything you can imagine.....think mustard... If you can't find a particular brand of chili powder or cooking oil, try Draegers. They carry non-regional brands and a wide variety of specialty foods. I don't usually do my full grocery shopping there however their deli, bakery, fish market and gift shop upstairs are always a welcome shopping experience. I especially like the underground parking (great during the... More
