Save your money. Food just ok, service inattentive. Waiter acted like he could care less if we stayed or left. Desert was highpoint of dinner. The rest mediocre.

Went here for a business dinner. It was my first experience and it was wonderful. Nice relaxed fine dining atmosphere where you can enjoy a high quality meal and have a great conversation with your guests. The chef brought out a few items that were very tasteful. I would rank this restaurant as one of the top in CA. We... More

Viognier is somewhat rare for San Mateo. SM is a hive of great Chinese, Japanese, and Mexican food. Places are somewhat boisterous and filled with locals. For a quiet business meal, there aren't that many choices. Viogner would be called a "ladies who lunch" place, or similar to a hotel restaurant. The food is good but not great in any... More

We stopped by this place just for the dessert after our dinner. We were told that this place was a restaurant extension of a cooking school and it did not let us down. We had 4 different deserts. They were all delicious, especially the cheesecake. The icecreams were all great, too. They were all presented to us delicately in french... More

The restaurant had a lovely relaxed, clean atmosphere. We could see the Market's Cooking School from our table. I went with several folks from a local business that I consult for - they often bring people here and it's easy to see why. The service was quite attentive (maybe a bit too much). The menu allows you to select your... More

I met a friend here for cocktails yet needed something to eat prior to our meeting. I absolutely loved the roasted beet salad - could have ate more of it. The food that I had was outstanding, and the staff was tremendously kind and attentive. I would absolutely return.

I went with some business colleagues so I have no idea on pricing, but we started with a fresh beet salad - multi colored beets with a nice light dressing, then the main entree was sea scallops -- heavenly! If you are a heavy eater, this will NOT fill you up but it was very good. For dessert, we had... More

I had dinner with some business colleagues. It was really good. The standard of food was excellent as were the wines. We had mini-burgers for canapes which just melted in the mouth - they were so good that I would have been prepared to have them for main course as well!! I had the sea scallops for main course and... I had dinner here with some work colleagues. The service was attentive and informed. There was a good wine list and varied menu of french/californian dishes. The only disappointment was that the cheapest option was $55 for three courses, so eating here is always going to be a little pricey, and if you're only looking for a light mean then... More
