i will probably start coming here more frequently on my business trips to san jose as they seem to be one of the better restaurants on santana row. the food is fresh and flavorful (mousakka and tagine were what i had here recently) and the greek fries were a really nice treatment on a standard american theme. the dishes are... Like many places in Santana Row, Thea's is overpriced for average food. Nice Features: - Location! Right next to the movies - makes for a nice dinner/ movie date option - Nice bar/ great ambience - Good option for a group - lots of drinks, small plates - Plenty of options for vegetarians Not so nice: - Food is very... Went after movies for dinner, but said totally booked. There were several open tables for quite sometime. Had cocktail and apetizers at the bar. Just o.k. Maybe try for lunch. More

A friend took me to this place on a Friday evening and it was a happening place. The starters were mind blowing and the main course was amazing. There was also a belly dancer performing that evening. Had good food and chatted for a long time with friends. Service was good and did not feel disappointed. More

I never knew Greek food could be this good. We went with someone that really knows Greek culture and food and that made all the difference. The food and drinks she ordered were all great; decoration, atmosphere and service were all good, hence the 5 star. For anyone like me who didn't know much about Greek food, here are some... More

I've eaten at the Thea before and generally find the food ok. Last nite, I went with family around 7 pm. While the outside patio was filled, the inside restaurant was filled to about 50 - 75% capacity. We were seated promptly and the waitress and busboy promptly arrived to put water/bread on the table an take our drink order.... More

Good Greek food if you are already enjoying an afternoon at Santana Row. The entrees are reasonably priced and well-prepared. They took some time but the wait was worth it. The drinks were pretty expensive ($12-15) for the quality so I'd hit Straits for a couple before the meal.     More

The food was really good - had the tapas sampler and the moussaka. Service was okay - had to wait a short while, but the place was busy, so understandable. Belly dancer def. made the experience more special. A bit expensive for what you get - would probably try another place next time - but on the other hand wouldn't... More
