This place is worth the long excursion off of the 101 and into downtown Salinas. they have an amazingly large menu with a set lunch (soup, entree, beverage). I had Szechuan chicken and they cooked a custom stir-fried vegetable dish for my spouse. We each had hot and sour soup. We arrived well past the peak of the lunch hour,... More

Food is always good and fresh. It is family owned and the service is outstanding. Sam, one of the owners, is friendly, personable, and always takes a personal interest in the food and service. They will go out of their way to individualize your order as well.

We have been eating at the Eagle since it opened and don't go anywhere else for Chinese food. There specialties are memorable- try the walnut prawns for an unexpected treat. The owners are always friendly and helpful. If you can't make a decision- they will always point you in the right direction. Food is fresh, prepared individually. Lunch specials are... More

I love this place! I have sent more people to this place!! I think this is the best chinese in town. These 2 guys know their stuff - they got their training in San Francisco. I love their eggplant - so creamy!! And they do great things with tofu! I've eaten a lot of chinese food here.

You cannot miss the bright yellow awning out front. The place is very clean and bright. The staff is fast and courteous. The food is fresh and flavorful. We tried the Triple Mongolian recommended in another review and it is now our favorite! We will definitely stop there again as we are passing through Salinas!

It's got a big yellow awning, advising you that it is number 26 West Alisal, and that it uses no MSG. You can't miss the Eagle. You'll have to park on the street, and possibly around the corner on Main Street. On entering, you'll be cheerfully advised to sit where-ever you like. Menus and a waiter will appear. The atmosphere... More

The best Chinese food in Salinas & at a good price. Also a good stop in between Monterey & Santa Cruz County. Open everyday until 9 pm.

The food is excellent, the service is very fast, and the prices are very reasonable. The menu is extensive, the owners are friendly, and they remember that I want Tsing Tao and chopsticks. Not a fancy place, but clean and well-maintained. They ask how hot you want your choice if it's identified on the menu as spicy, and it arrives... More
