Description: From its inviting corner location at Park and 14th streets in charming downtown Paso Robles, Artisan captures the essence of the Paso Robles wine country on every plate. Showcasing locally grown produce and handcrafted foods, Executive Chef Chris Kobayashi finds much of the inspiration for his dishes through regular trips to the farmer’s market; he combines regional American flavors in new and innovative ways. Artisan’s menu features local and organic produce, and proteins that are wild caught or sustainably farmed with no growth hormones or antibiotics. Chef Kobayashi’s insistence on freshness and quality complements his style which allows each ingredient to shine, but not overwhelm. Designed to complement its contemporary American cuisine, Artisan’s wine list offers a balanced selection of varietals that includes many wines from California regions in small or limited distribution. The staff of Artisan kindly look forward to serving you in the near future.

Four of us ate brunch at Artisan after a week of overindulging in Paso. Four different menu items, all beautifully prepared. I had the eggs benedict with crab cakes...wanted a little more of the exquisite hollandaise sauce...No problem, our server brought a ramekin of it to our table in just a couple of minutes. Orange juice was fresh and little... More

Looking for a nice bistro with original cuisine in Paso Robles? Look no further than Artisan. Classics like steaks and seafood are joined by local rabbit and lamb and infused with touches of originality. Very nice wine pairings from local vineyards complete the recipe for a stunning experience. More

+2 for service: The service was fantastic. Amazing. Our server was kind and helpful. +1 for the Fondue Perhaps because we ate at the end of the night, nothing seemed... great. Except the Fondue. Which was fantastic. The octopus was cold, the halibut was salty. Too bad, too - I really wanted to like it More

This place most certainly makes five star dinners, we had rabbit three ways with nettle pasta and Halibut with potato risotto and snap peas that were to die for. I would have given five stars but the cheese tray and dessert we thought were not on the same level. More

We ate at Artisan for the first time last week. We had the duck and the salmon both creatively wonderful and superb to eat. Deserts were also super. Make reservations with open table, must be very crowded on weekends. Must be about the best in town, and not over the top price wise. Enjoy!! More

Every time I am in Paso, I try to dine at Artisan. It is fantastic. My friend and I went on a Monday night, and it was packed. The was wonderful. I had the halibut, and my friend had the pasta special, which had all kinds of seafood. The dishes were both excellent. The service was fantastic as well. It... More

After hearing all the hype about this restaurant, we were a little disappointed. Some of the dishes were very good, but some were mediocre, particularly for the price. The wait staff was very attentive and appropriate, the wine list was excellent but very expensive. Not sure that we will go back. More

Busy place, so be sure to reserve, which we did. Food was wonderful and so was the service. Seafood and fish is what most of us had and it was great. More
