Great menu, great deli food and we bought a large rye bread that we are still enjoying! Hard to find a parking place and lots of people tells you that Sherman's is the place for good deli food here in the Palm Springs area! Wish we were not just passing through...we'd be more than regulars!
We have just arrived back in London after visiting Las Vegas and Palm Desert. We had two meals at Sherman's Deli ,one with our friends from Denver who also have a well known "Deli " in the mile high city.. And I was agreement with my friend Gerard Rudofsky that Sherman's is very good at what it provides.

Great service, reasonably priced and very well presented dishes. Good selections. It gets real busy so my advice would be to visit slightly off the usual meal times so you don't have a long wait.
Definitely worth a visit when visiting the area. Matzo ball soup was great and the corned beef sandwich was more than I could eat! Thirty five dollars for teo beers, sandwiches plus a soup - can't complain! Sitting on the patio with mist fans is perfect to enjoy the heat without it being too much. Service was slow but other...

Whenever we are in Palm Desert, we like to go to Sherman's Deli at least once. The service is good and the food is great. Prices are fair/appropriate.
The portion size is quite generous. So much so that we often take home a box and have a second meal.
My favorite is their French Dip sandwich.
They have complimentary pickles...

Corned beef was terrific - lean beef on a well toasted rye. Just what you would expect.
Cottage fries were soggy and limp even though we asked for them to be well done.
The patty...

Palm Springs really is an unusual place, out in the middle of the desert, and with all that 70's history. The landscape is still amazing and woth the visit alone. Sherman's stood out as our breakfast choice, because it had lot's of full tables, a fantastic food display at the entrance and that "we care" what you think. We loved...

We stop in once or twice every time we visit, which is twice a year. It's always full of locals. This was a dinner meal on April, 6. My absolute favorite is the French Dip Roast Beef Sandwich (comes with fresh, fried potato slices). Always good and it was the best. And enough to take half home for lunch the...

This place is a MUST when visiting the Palm Springs area. They are located in Palm Springs and Palm Desert. Try the signature sandwich #5 which is piled with corned beef and pastrami. It is like a club sandwich with tomato, lettuce, cheese and an extra slice of bread. It is enough for two. The pastrami is good too. But,...
