Description: Stroll along 17th street, between Lighthouse and Laurel and you will find one of the Peninsula’s hottest restaurants, Joe Rombi’s La Mia Cucina. This little jewel, with its fresh ambiance and tantalizing menu, is popular with everyone. When you ask about the colorful European advertising posters that enliven the walls, you’re told that they are “originals, not reproductions.” That phrase is accurate in describing Joe Rombi’s itself. From the lean, comfortable linen white decor, accented beautifully by those turn-of-the-century posters, to the hand-crafted entrees and desserts, everything about Joe Rombi’s says fresh, new and original. Joe’s specialty, his ravioli dishes, are a renowned local favorite, and for good reason. They are rolled, filled and cut by hand, with all the care that only a lifetime of creative food combining can bring. In addition to pasta, Joe’s known for his fresh fish and meat specials. The desserts are made in-house, and the service is personal and inviting.

Love this place for breakfast-they have all of normal items, just better prepared than most at reasonable prices. We have been here a number of times and the only caveat is that service can be just a little slow, but if you have the time it's an excellent choice. AND, the coffee is the best around-rich, flavorful and smelling like... More

Tried two of the personal pizzas, and I couldn't tell you which I liked more. The owner chatted with every single guest. Everything was excellent.

In my opinion - Skip Skip Skip - do not waste your time or money. The food was mediocre at best - and the service was even worse. I asked questions regarding the amount of salt and requested my salad dressing on the side. The waiter said to my friends "is she always like this when you go out to... More

Two Senior Italian couples (Childhood Friends)..shared a wonderful experience from friendly staff and great food! Ricotta Ravioli and Pasta Puttanesca for the men, Pasta Rombi and Farfalle Bolognese for the wives...coupled with a bottle of Talbot Pinot Noir, forced to order their fantastic homemade desserts after looking at the tray. The strawberry shortcake was definitely one of the best we've... More

This restaurant is a beautifully decorated TINY spot on one of the side streets off Pacific Grove's main avenue. We had to drive up and down several times just to see it, and since the street is mixed residential and commercial, we had to park and walk a bit. It's always cool at night in Pacific Grove, so be prepared... More

My husband, adult daughter and I ate a very nice dinner at Joe Rombi's. Everything met our expectations in flavor, service, and ambiance. The portion of homemade pasta looked slight, but it was the perfect amount for a hungry group. Everyone was delightfully satisfied.

I hadn't been to Joe Rombi's in years but had fond memories of previous dining experiences. The place did not disappoint. Two of us ordered the lasagna special and the other two ravioli (one mushroom, the other cheese). The sauces are amazing and all the pasta is fresh, handmade. We all split a creme brulee - which I believe was... More

If you really enjoy a good meal and great service do your self a favor and eat at Joe Rombi's. Unlike the il Vecchios in this town that have a herd you in herd you out attitude, Joe Rombi's know's how to treat a customer.
