I think I could do better on Piedmont Avenue unless you are hankering for that Caribbean flavor. There are some nice jerk choices here. More

“Best Carribean Food in Oakland”

This is a casual, quite neighborhood restaurant. It is never too crowded and provides good service. The food is always fresh, hot and authentic carribean. My favorites are the coconut shrimp, spicy corn bread, gumbo, plantains, tri tip and crab cakes. If you want good carribean food, this is the place to go. More
