Fast service. Decent food. The food was all cooked to order fresh. Good chips and salsa with a pleasant atmosphere. Can be very busy. .

Bass Lake Casa Velascos has unbelievable food and wonderful service. My parents ask to come here every time they are in town. My mom says their Chili Relleno is the only one she will eat in a restaurant. My kids love their burritos, enchiladas and their albondigas. I love the beef and chicken tacos. My husband loves everything!
We love Casa Velasco. Sad they left Oakhurst as they were the best Mexican food in town. Their food is great, service friendly and fast, prices are fair A great value. Wish I didn't have to drive to Bass lake to eat there.
Another mexican restaurant in Oakhurst.. Like we need another. This place used to be good.. but has also gone downhill. They too have no clue how to add spice to their Mexican cuisine.
Casa Velasco is closing mid September, to be replaced by Crab Cakes Restaurant. It wasn't the most popular restaurant in the area, thus the goodbye.
We went here with a group of 8 and they handled our party well. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. I had something called chicken dialblo, nice and hot. Even the Hispanic members of or group were happy with the food.
We had the shrimp tostadas, taco plate and steak picado. All were wonderful. Chips were hot and they had good salsa!
Very good but we're use to getting beans & rice with our meals. The burritos were huge but that's all we got. I would have preferred to get 1 burrito then get a side of beans & rice for the two of us Also don't listen to your GPS, it's just off hwy 41 behind Miller's.
Casa Velasco has two locations. The one in Bass Lake is not listed andis where we ate. The food was excellant. I generally have a Chile Relleno and Enchilada when I go to Mexican restaurants. This is a family owned business and they take pride in the food.
My wife and I went to this place on a whim after hiking in Yosemite for the day. The service was very friendly and fast. The food was excellent too while being inexpensive. The margaritas were awesome and the salsa was homemade and fresh. The decor may be a little dated but the rest of things more than made up...
