What is the difference between Javier's Newport Beach and Javier's Cantina? They are at the same address and ssame phone number. You have two different places?
Great service, drinks, food, atomosphere!!! Had the fresh Alaskan Halibut and it was the best I've had!! Make room for the chips, salsa & guacamole!!! Everything is good here!
Gorgeous restaurant, amazing atmostphere, makes you feel like you are in Cabo. Entrees were solid, salsa was awesome, drinks were perfect, great service. Packed crowd, we ate there on the earlier side since we have a child in tow (and they were perfectly accomodating to us with a child). Really a beautiful crowd in the bar area. If in Newport... More
ok food...overpriced. Just a hip, happening place for the young. VERY noisy!! Margaritas were just OK...location is great, but you can do better elsewhere for a meal. Go for happy hour!
This elaborate and aesthetically pleasing Mexican restaurant was worth the drive. It had great ambiance and style. We both had enchilada 's that were very good. They were served with white refried beans that had great flavor. Guacamole was also quite good. Service was excellent. Overall very good restaurant.
I can't believe how busy this place is, even on a Tuesday night at 8:30. The place is packed...but still seats you fairly quickly. The service was above average from hostess to the waiter. The food is good, steak, ribs, carne asada, ceviche. I'd rate it above average Mexican food. The restaurant looks good on the inside & outside. Value... More
I'm not sure if the bartenders are being instructed by management to make their margaritas this way or not but they were horrible! I took some clients out to Javier’s for dinner and drinks and the margaritas were an embarrassment! Over flowing with ice and mixer and literally no tequila. The ONLY reason I am giving this review a poor... More

Refused to serve me drinks or food and basically asked me to leave. I have always used my driver license in the u.s and I never... More
A couple of people at work rave about this place. I finally drove all the way from San Diego to check it out. It's located in the Crystal Cove shopping center, a swanky place close to Laguna Beach, across the Pacific Coast Highway from the ocean. It is a big restaurant capable of seating north of 400 guests, with view... More
