An old standby whenever we're in downtown Monterey in the a.m. Quick and quality is the best description. Excellent wait staff (been there forever) and top quality ingredients properly prepared. Too many place gloss over breakfast but when it's done right like Jeffrey's at mid-Valley or the Old Monterey Cafe, it's a real treat.

We had breakfast here twice on our trip. The place was full on a weekday. I think that tells you something. I had the Banana panckaes, my wife the French toast. It was delicious. This is the place for breakfast and will will return.
