Three places in one ... sushi bar, teppan tables, or sit-down Japanese (and sushi) service. We've done all three and all are very good. (The place has been around for all 8 years we've lived in the area - so it's certainly not "new!") We particularly enjoy their sushi ... not too inventive, but always fresh and delicious and properly... More

Good food and always fun. Never pay full price, there is always a coupon posted online or in the paper. Always a good night out. More

Hve eaten at New Shogun a few times over the last six months or so. We have the boat dinner and the beer/sake. Always have enough food left over for lunch the next day. Tempura was served hot and crispy, meal includes sesame chicken, steak and chicken teriyaki, california roll and four pieces of sushi. Food's not spectacular but better... More

One of the other reviewers had referred to the New Shogun as "average", and I must say I do agree with that critique. My wife and I tried the "Three Combination" dinners, with each of us getting a different "three". Nothing we had was bad. Nothing we had was exceptionally good. It WAS average. Because it was relatively late in... More

My wife had the sashimi, sushi and shrimp/vegetable tempura. She said that Onami was just as good, or better. Since I don't eat bait, I'll have to take her word for it. This gaijin had the teriyaki ribeye (pretty good), the calamari steak (good) and the sukiyaki beef (pretty bad). More

We went for Teppan and were very disappointed. The food lacked flavor and they charge you extra for fried rice, which usually comes with Teppan. We won't be returning. Sad - I grew up eating there. More

We went to celebrate for my Mom's birthday. I will be brief although there are many details. RUDE cooks at the Teppan table. Poor service. Food was not good, lacked flavor. Long wait even with reservations (mid-week). Limited staff. TERRIBLE!!!!!!! More

Went for a quick bite and sat at the Sushi Bar with Wife and Daughter. Started with a seaweed salad and Las Vegas Roll and was sold on the spot. Good atmoshpere with an excellent Happy Hour Menu that last till 7:00PM and weekdays. $2.00 Sake, half off sushi menu, $3.00 appitizers.. . how can you go wrong... Service was... More

This restaurant is so easy to find, being on a main street, and there is lots of parking, but the best thing about it is the food. The waitress was very kind when we explained that we wanted to share a dinner, and helped us with a selection. The dinner we ordered, a "boat" came with a terrific assortment of... More
