Met a friend for lunch and were immediately seated. The place is adorable and has a large menu. It was hard to make a choice. The three of us got three different sandwiches and we were all pleased. The french fries were great. Many cute decorations. Will definitely go back when we are in the area.

Went to eat for a brunch type lunch/dinner. I received more than I thought I would get. Very good service, value and food was excellent. I will definitely go to eat there again. I felt a happy attitude there. The bear claws look good, but will try that the next time. Joined the E-Club and already getting free offers. A... More

This is one place I love to come with some of my friends who love to eat big meals. This is "the place" for typical diner style food in "big portions" and reasonably priced. I also brought here my family and ordered two entrees to be shared by three of us. We ordered omelet that came with a biscuit (which... More

Went for a late morning breakfast and ordered combo with sausage links, eggs and waffle. The sausages were very tasty. Well cooked without being burnt. No problem with the eggs. Then there was this sorry and anemic looking waffle. I asked for another that was 'cooked' and hoped for a nice light golden brown crispy on the outside waffle. The... More

This Black bear's food wasn't as good as the one in Tracy Ca. The one thing I have noticed is the customer service was excellent! The restraunt was clean and the atmosphere was great..but for the most part the only thing consistent so far is the customer service.

We come here often as we live fairly near here. It's menu looks like a newspaper and gives you some news from the past. They have awesome huge Southern style baking powder biscuits that are at least 4 inches high.....OMG...they are de-lish!! A wide variety of home cooking comfort foods and awesome baked goods. A cute place with carved bears... More

Maybe I didn't read the menu carefully enough, but I left enough food on my plate to feed a small army. And while most people love taking home the leftovers, honestly, do you really want reheated huevos rancheros? Service was good, but the carnitas in the dish tasted like cafeteria steam table meat. Other diners seemed to be enjoing the... More

If you are in the mood for a little diner food, and face it who isn't from time to time, this place offers a large selection to satisfy that hunger pang. The food is reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. the place itself is large, so there usually isn't a line or a wait.

Over the past few years Black Bear has opened several new locations in northern California and I've had the opportunity to visit quite a few of them. I can happily state that every experience has been a great one. To-date, every menu item I've tried has been very good and consistent across the various locations. If I were looking for... More
