My husband and I drove from Arnold,CA through Ebbetts Pass ( spectacular scenery) to Markleeville. Since there were only 3 restaurants open, we picked this one. I had a BLT with avocado and my husband had a Reuben. They were both delicious. We had fun talking to the locals. It was an enjoyable lunch. More

My partner and i drove from San Francisco to Las Vegas and came across markleeville and had to stay for the night. We booked into the hotel next door which had great rooms at good prices, as we were next door we popped into Wolf Creek for a couple of drinks and something to eat. At first glance the menu... More

We heard about this restaurant from a docent in Calaveras State Park. We had a nice prime rib sandwich with great fries served by a nice young lady. There is a small bar popular with locals in the hotel. There are not many options in this town in January but I would recommend this one. More

My wife and I and stayed the weekend at the Creekside Hotel next door, so this was a natural spot for eating and drinking. For starters, I can't say enough good things about the bar. The drinks were good, the beer was cold, the service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, the locals were extremely friendly and the young man... More

Markleeville is totally out of the way unless you need to go from HY 395 over the Sierras or to Lake Tahoe's South Shore. If you do, take time to stop and enjoy Wolf Creek. Housed in an old hotel, the restaurant is a find. If you come in through the front door, you will walk through the bar (room... More

Stopped here for lunch. Mom and I both ordered the BLT with avocado and spouts. Good sandwich. Mom liked the coleslaw and I enjoyed the fries. Building is an old hotel so it is small with lots of wood. Neat photos and decor. Only negative is the bathroom was not handicapped accessible. How do they get away with that? This... More

This restaurant is a real gem, which you would not expect to find in a small town like this. We had a delicious dinner here - great steaks and good merlot. Friendly service. More

Food was simple and well prepared but quite expensive for what you get. We thought the place over the road (Stonefly) was better. More

Went there for a Sunday drive. What a great place to eat. Sat in the outdoor patio, so pleasant. Food was terrific. We both had the Ortega, Avacado Hamburger. Burger was so big, meat patty thick and delicious. Onion rings to die for. Will definetly return for more. More
