I saw this resaurant on Man vs. Food on the Travel Chanel and have always want to come here for a bowl of ramen. It is located on the 3rd floor in Little Tokyo not too far from City Hall. You may miss it because its exterior is kind of nondescript with green awnings. The owner made an appearance shortly... More

I first came here based on the recommendation of a fellow Asian-food foodie. After tucking into my noodle soup, I had some serious choices to make about my subsequent visits -- from the various broth choices and vegetable add-ons to who of my favourite friends in the whole world I would bring here! While I haven't been able to get... More

The ramen came in a huge bowl filled with broth. There were a few thin pieces of pork, some bamboo shoots, sliced green onions, and I had order the char sui as an extra. I've never seen char sui look like that! It was a colorless manufactured roll of pork, but it was tender. I didn't find great value here,... More

Went to Orochon Ramen after attending a gallery opening in Little Tokyo. We decided we wanted ramen, and I had heard of Orochon. Third floor of Weller Court, just about a 10 minute walk away from the Japanese American Museum. There was a short wait...just put your name on the notepad by the door. Indoor & outdoor seating, which was... More

Come in here specifically to do the No.2 challenge. FAILED miserably, be warned i can eat hot food, but that made me physically sick from the amount of chilli. My partner had a regular Noodle soup and liked it. The place is hidden and small, but does the job. More

I visited Orochan Ramen recently after hearing that the restaurant has vegetarian soup. I had the miso-vegetarian option with extra noodles and tofu. The atmosphere was quite nice, a small restaurant in Little Tokyo around other Japanese culture establishments. The staff were very friendly and helped me make my selection based on my dietary restrictions and tastes. The menu has... More

Having heard about this on Man V Food, we made it a must visit whilst we were in downtown LA. It's not the easiest place to find tucked away in the Weller centre in Little Tokyo. The funny thing was that I (an Australian), was asked for directions by a local Californian trying to find Orochon. Man V Food has... More

Great noodle soup dinner. Large enough to split My wife had the standard soup extra-extra hot. I couldn’t touch it without suffering a coronary, but she loved it. Mine was the mid-level soup with tofu and garlic added. Wow, very spicy and tasty. The hot contains not just flame, but flavor. Very nice wait staff. Looks like they draw a... More

I ventured to Orochon Ramen to make a go at the Spicy #2 Challenge. There was quite a line for a table when we got there, but it moved fairly quickly. Although I knew I was going for the challenge, I took a moment to peruse the menu, which consists of various appetizers & sides on the right side of... More
