First off, the food is terrific. No complaints at all about the pizzas, fresh ingredients, unique variety, great appetizers, etc. When you hear about Pizzeria Mozza (and Osteria Mozza next door), it's always about the food and it delivers. The service is an entirely different matter, unfortunately. Our waitress seemed distracted and or preoccupied. It also didn't help that the... More

We didn't know that reservations are a must here but we did find seating at that bar. The bartender (Nichla) made us feel right at home as he explained all the yummy items on the menu. Our roasted cauliflower drizzled with yogurt-mint sauce was divine and the pizza selection makes it's difficult to choose. The fennel sausage pizza was by... More

Really looked forward this Batali restaurant. Food was somewhat uneven. Pizza's were really good, crust delicious, light, and interesting combinations. Salad, had the tri-color and another with vinegarette, nothing unusual here. Squash blossoms were bland, and without a dipping sauce not a favorite of the group. Fried goat cheese with lentils was good. Desserts were uneven. Banana pie was VERY... More

We are foodies and this is the best pizza we have ever eaten. Much easier to get in for lunch rather than dinner. More

Mozza is fantastic. Everything on the menu is truly amazing. This is a great place to spend time with friends. This is the closest thing to Napoli pizza I've ever found outside of Italy (save La Pizza in Cannes). This is MUST for anyone's visit to LA. More

We booked for lunch (30 days in advance) before leaving Ontario, Canada on our California vacation. I am glad we took the time to do this. It was packed at 1:30pm when we arrived (1/2 hour early) but they seated us regardless (which we appreciated, having driven from Venice Beach). Service was efficient and friendly. The restaurant is noisy and... More

We loved everything about this place. Great lunch spot! The pizza is incredible and paper thin! More

We ate here in April 2012, and we were glad we made the effort to plan ahead. We secured our reservation one month in advance, and given the crowd, we were glad we did! The food was outstanding- our appetizers included bruschetta, meatballs, and salad- all were excellent. The pizza was great- though not on the menu, we were able... More

May be it is b/c I am from east coast where good pizza is not difficult to find or may be I just can not tolerate for a simple pizza place to want to pretend to be a fine dining establishment just b/c it has created a hype.We entered this place at 3 p.m when only 3 tables were full... More

This place was a bit dissapointing. It's not bad at all, but the service and the atmosphere are not up to what I expected (knowing the guys behind the project - Silverton, Batali & Bastianich). More
