“What it lacks in ambiance, it makes up for on the plate”

while I've yet to tell a whole lot of difference between the dishes here, that may not be a bad thing. Wonderful spices come together in what feels like a home cooked Peruvian dinner. Complete with home baked rolls and a surprisingly good spicy green sauce to flirt with. This is simple, cheap and very reliable. More

The bathrooms are clean....the place is a bit small but the food is great...I had the #17 steak and the fried rise and it was great....the only draw back is there is no waiting area and when u Waite outside there are no benches for seating..... More

If you're the type of person who likes their food tasty, filling, and don't mind that its a bit greasy (and not great for heart conditions), Mario's may serve one of the best plates of food in LA. We waited an hour to get in, which seemed like an eternity, but once we did get in, the food arrived pretty quickly and it was great! Worth the wait, believe it or not. I ordered the Jalea de mariscos. Mixed seafood fried with fish, calamari, shrimp and potato with a great yellow lemon sauce. I also ordered the arroz chaufa. Stir Fried rice with octopus, shrimp and calamari. Fantastic. More
