high fat food, 50's style diner... burgers and fries, typical diner food, atmosphere and smell. On highway, busy at times

Nice place with average to good food. It is fun for kids who love the breakfasts and at lunch french fry refills are free .Nice soda fountain type options and fun to get a vanilla cola. the burgers are really good but not quite the level of the Counter burger. When with kids this is the place to go.

Stopped at Ruby's in Corona Del Mar for lunch on our way home. We shared an Old-Timer with fries and a wedge salad. Wonderful hamburger, but the fries weren't hot. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she immediately alerted the kitchen and soon arrived with a basket of hot, crisp skinny fries that were worth the wait!

We arrived at 1pm and were surprised that it was still very busy. If your staying in Montage and dont want to pay hotel prices for breakfast then Rubys Diner is the place to go. Only a five walk from hotel. Good food and good coffee.

A fun 1950's themed diner. Good burgers, great milkshakes, enthusiastic server, good location, family friendly. Will visit again.
