Description: If this country has a culinary cradle, it's in Northern Sonoma, where the fruits of local labor—from outstanding produce to handcrafted cheese—have never been on a plane. Drawing upon regional ingredients is a superior way to eat and one can taste the freshness in Chef de Cuisine Dustin Valette's Dry Creek Kitchen specialties. You can also experience the regional abundance in the six-course, wine-trail tasting menu, featuring "neighborhood" food and wine pairings. Dry Creek Kitchen's wine cellar reflects the area's celebrated appellations, featuring more than 600 Sonoma wines with vintages ranging from 1985 to 2007 and a particular emphasis on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as well as Cabernet Sauvignon and Meritage Blends. Charlie Palmer's long standing commitment to wine manifests itself in his one-of-kind-collection drawing from the private libraries and cellars of the area's winemakers.

Once again, Dry Creek Kitchen is all you expect, and more. Expert yet friendly service from servers who genuinely seem to care about the guests and food; wonderful wine list; but, of course, the star is the food. Amazingly plated, delicious, delicious plates of bright, local ingredients in imaginative combinations, generous portions - you can not go wrong, whatever you... More

We ordered a glass of a local white wine, salad and salmon for a late lunch. Everything was prepared perfectly and the service was excellent--attentive but not hovering. We enjoyed sitting on the patio overlooking the square. Perfect afternoon.

After a full day on a biking winery tour, it was great to be able to come back to Hotel Healdsburg and have such a wonderful meal under the same roof. The wine list is obviously amazing, plus they have a corking fee if you would prefer to bring your own wine, which I think is a nice touch considering... More

Friends made reservations for four of us at Dry Creek prior to a concert at the Healdsburg Jazz Festival! This meant that we spent less than 90 minutes at the restaurant. The concert (Charles Lloyd) was spectacular -but next time we come to Healdsburg, we'll plan to spend a much longer time indulging in Dry Creek's food. We each had... More

Dry Creek Kitchen may not have been mentioned in the recent WSJ review of Healdsburg, but for our taste (both atmospheric and culinary), the kids from the WSJ missed the mark. The dining room was cool and open and air conditioned on a sultry humid night. My husband, brother, and sister-in-law all had the halibut. I had the flat-iron steak.... More

Having read good reviews of Dry Creek Kitchen and as foodies, my husband and I were excited to enjoy the tasting menu on our recent trip to Healdsburg, but it fell short of expectations. We had a 9pm reservation, so the restaurant was no longer full, yet they placed us at a table near the waiter's station in the back... More

We were visiting with friends and chose DCK for dinner. We chose the Tasting menu with wine pairing-- expensive but wonderful. The portions were the perfect size and we were appropriately sated. Service was excellent, prompt, not pushy- allowing us to chat & catch up with old friends. The servers were knowledgeable about the local fresh food items & wines.... More

My husband and I go to Healdsburg every May to pick up wine at Rafanelli's. We always have dinner at one of the many fine restaurants such as Bistro Ralph or Scopa. We decided to try Dry Creek Kitchen and we are so glad we did. The restaurant is really lovely. Beautiful setting with open doors that look out on... More

This restaurant has a lot of potential but the cooking is over-complicated. if you use good quality ingredients, you shouldn't try to confuse the palate with too many flavours. It's becoming annoying that so many chefs over-complicate dishes in trying to emulate more "famous chefs". Keep it simpler. I would also suggest to the staff that they try to be... More

The aesthetics and food at Dry Creek are wonderful, but the experience left us tired and hungry. Our party of 4 ordered the 6-course chef's menu, which consisted of 5 tiny to small servings, followed by an over-sized dessert. This was spread over 3+ hours which resulted in caring less about the silly mantras by wait staff as they described... More
