Description: The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and decor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side. Check out our website at www.miramarbeachrestaurant.com.

All in all - it's well priced for what it offers The food is fairly well Freshly served sea food & fish Great atmosphere & view Highly recommended for business lunch or any other formal occasion Not as romantic due to the fact it's crowded and noisy most of the time, but the ocean view is just beautiful!

A pleasant dining experience, with the lovely location right on the water the greatest plus. Food was plain, but generally fairly good. My salmon was a little mushy. Service friendly, but a tad slow. Old fashioned, bar oriented decor, but not overly dark as there was good light coming in from outside as sundown approached. Could have been very romantic,... More

The portion size of the cup of soup and the Caesar salad were small and expensive. The salmon was nicely done but the spinach that accompanied it was VERY salty.

Go for the Sunday Brunch, but don't show up before 11am which is when the restaurant opens on Sunday. Advise that you make a reservation for a table by the front window or arrive at 10:50am so you'll be at the front of the crowd lined up to get inside. Beautiful view of Miramar Beach and the "boardwalk" which is... More

Sits on the ocean and has great sunset and water views. Menu is good and can be crowded on certain days/nights. Wine selection is a bit limited but they have a full bar.

Actually visited this place 30 years ago on my honeymoon and really was pleased when I came into the area looking for it, and found it was still operating. Many improvements since last time, but the view remains unchanged- beautiful! Food and service all good. You could easily feel comfortable dressed up or laid back in this place... great vibe.

After my final appointment with my Cardiologist in Redwood, City, California, my sister and brother-in-law took me to see the ocean, smell the breeze and have a light dinner at Miramar Beach Beach Resort in Half Moon Bay. We had their seafood chowder with sour dough bread and a glass of wine. The chowder was so filling and the view... More

The food is very good with an emphases on seafood. The view is wonderful due to the location overlooking Miramar Beach. Sunsets are beautiful from either inside the restaurant or from the heated outdoor patio. We had a late lunch outside with a cold beverage. Very nice. Lots of history on site because the building was a speakeasy and brothel... More

I am never going to complain about a life where I can eat seafood and look at the ocean, so if I gripe about the service at this restaurant, take that into consideration. This place has a good variety of food options. The margarita was good, but I had to ask for it 3 or 4 times. Perhaps they were... More
