Thank goodness we had a reservation because it was packed. Got in line at host stand behind 2 girls. Imagine our surprise when we found out they were staff! You'd never know by how they treated us! We didn't even get a nod! Sat in bar area which is attractive but loud! Had to yell to converse. Comp bread never... More

Guess the small portion colored my overall perceptions. It's a fun, funky place. Quality of the food was very good. I had a Wahini salad with salmon, and it was fresh and simple. The entertainment, however, was awesome! Cactus Twang was playing and their professional level of performance was enough to make me want to go back again and again.

A group of eight of us celebrated a friend's birthday here last Friday night. We were seated right away (with reservations), and enjoyed the very upbeat, casual atmosphere and music while we waited for the rest of the group to arrive. Everyone's dinner was excellent, and the lobster bisque was especially amazing. Live music every night, so sometimes it got... More

We made reservation for 4 adults. This quaint Caribbean style restaurant is low key and relaxed. It's refreshing to read a menu that is varies each dish with healthful and tasteful ingredients. The cocktail menu fit the motif, I enjoyed the Havanah Mojito, while the other guests at my table enjoyed the margaritas, and sangria. I will return.

What this place lacks in sense of arrival, it makes up for in cool art, great music and yummy tapas. So nondescript it's seriously hard to find, but once you're in, the bar area is inviting with a real local feel. Enjoyed great live music and some bites...if you're a sushi fan, I highly recommend the Neptune Candies. Surprising combo... More

Just spent a week in SoCal, & as a member of the service industry, am pretty critical of food & service. La Papagayo was by far my favorite place on our trip. The food, to start with was incredible (we went twice, one lunch & one dinner). The cocktails were to die for. But the service & atmosphere were above... More

This restaurant has Happy Hour 7 days a week from 5:00 to 6:30. We happened to stop in around that time and enjoyed the many selections from their HH menu. Everything was great--creole mussels, satay chicken kabob, lamb chop, spinach salad. They make their own sangria and it was delicious, filled with berries. This is a great way to try... More

We found this restaurant by chance. The decor is really fun and funky but we were thrilled by how friendly the place was and the amazing menu selection. My husband had the crab enchilada's and pronounced them to be really great. On the recommendation of one of their regulars I had their shrimp tacos. The shrimp were the best ever... More

We had a coupon to use up so thought we'd give it a try. We had heard about Le Papagayo but had never been. Not knowing what we wanted we just ordered "appetizers" as our meal. we were glad we did!. Warm freash bread with a pesto sauce for dipping was very tastey start. Followed by calamari (steak strips) with... More
