After living in San Diego for nearly two years and searching for the "whole package" fine dining experience, we finally found it at Market! Market is everything fine dining should be, stellar food, great service and an overall welcoming, unpretentious atmosphere made our evening excellent from start to finish. We enjoyed the Chef's tasting menu tonight which was outstanding! The... More

This place is packed for good reason; the food is rediculously good and so is the service and overall ambience. Order the short ribs without a doubt, and you won't be disappointed with the goat cheese tart app. The tuna tartare was deliciously prepared. They served a complimentary amuse of smoked salmon which was outstanding. Tables are close together as... More

This restaurant is a little hidden away gem - the place was crazy crowded (reservations strongly advised) but the food was wonderful - we have been there a few times and every time the chef sends a complimentary appetizer to the table that is astonishingly good! Last week it was a prawn with an asian inspired ginger cabbage! One bit... More

Try this place, the food is the best we had in San Diego hands down. The menu was also the most interesting and varied. After a week in the area I was getting sick of simple California cuisine and craving something a little more exciting. Our waiter was wonderful and everything we ate was delicious. The blue cheese soufflé with... More

It's the eve of New Years eve and I though I'd try a fairly highly rated restaurant in the San Diego area. This restaurant popped up in various searches for being good and wasn't forbiddingly expensive so we reserved via Open Table. The restaurant seems to be fairly upscale for it's desolate location. The parking is valet only but it... More

I visit the Market for the 1st time and the place is not impressive or fancy, but the food is another story!!! The service was attentive and helpful, the waiter well informed and knowledgeable on the menu and on the wine list. We were 4 in the table and the waiter asked for allergies, and my friend mentioned allergy to... More

I have been remiss is not doing this review sooner, but our two visits to Market are still a lasting memory for my wife & I. When vacationing, we spend a good amount of time seeking innovative & well executed cuisine and rarely go back to a restaurant twice as we are looking to take in as many different tastes... More

Went to Market for my wife's birthday. This place has been our favorite place for special occasions, but no more. The servie was more than inattentive, it was negligent. I'll focus on only one of the evening's mishaps: The waiter made a point to ask if we had any food allergies, and I clearly stated that I am allergic to... More

As other reviewers have certainly said, this is one of the finest restaurants in San Diego. It's a "foodie" kind of place with unique and tasty menu choices. Portions are perfect in my opinion and you should leave satisfied but not stuffed. Everything is great. Their shortribs are the favorite of many visitors. They used to have a great foie... More
