My birthday is next week and my husband sadly has a business trip that could not be changed so I selected celebrating my special day a few days early at the Capital Grill in nearby Costa Mesa,. From the moment we arrived we knew that this would be a very special evening. Every one of the staff that greeted us... More

My husband and I celebrated our 30th Anniversaryat the Capital Grill. The food was outstanding and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We have also eaten at Mortons and Ruth Chris, but have to say the Capital Grill is better. I had the best filet I have ever had. We will definately go back. More

In a word this restuarant and dinig experience can be called average. Nothing was poor yet nothing stood out. We were expected more after reviewing ther website and that they were linked to OC Performing Arts Center as a recommended local restuarant. The waiter was freindly and polite as was the hostess. The food itself was good but not great.... More

The steaks and seafood were excellent. We celebrated a birthday there and were impressed with the complimentary champagne toast and dessert. The classy touch was that the server didn't ask if we wanted to order dessert since he knew the birthday dessert was coming. All restaurants should follow suit. Atmosphere was very nice. More

I ate at the Capital Grille with a group of work colleagues. We were given a private room to ourselves which set the bar for the service to follow...it was simply flawless, with the waiters tending to your every need without being overly intrusive. And then came the food... ...wow! Quite possibly the best steak I've ever had in a... More

We had dinner at the Capital Grill and we ordered the 22 ounce steak and split it (it was still huge!). I had the lobster bisque and some kind of chocolate dessert which was really good. We ordered a bottle of Prisoner. We also had the lobster mac and cheese as a side. We were so full! The food was... More

As the name suggests, Capital Grille specializes in steaks and from looking at the tables around us, that was the favorite. My husband and I, however, prefer seafood and we can say it was as good as the steaks. I had Ahi tuna thick and rare and my husband had salmon with citrus glaze. Both entrees were great. Equally good... More

This place has been on my list for years - finally had to go, economy be damned. With a low priced bottle of malbec, we spent about $140. but it was so great. My partner and I split the kona crusted dry-aged sirloin which was like BUTTER with amazing flavor. Sides we loved were au gratin potatoes and the green... More

I took my Mom to the Costa mesa location and I guess since we were two women they sat us in a back table next to the restrooms - the restaurant was empty when we arrived and lots of empty seats when we left. We should have left immediately, but it was a special event so we sucked it up.... More
